Actually this upma if try in micro wave u get better one(in tamil to say udir udir ra varum).In microwave u fry rava for 2 to 3 min high.Then add boiling water to that and mix them well and keep them again in microwave for another 3 min.Then in gas stove do all those thalipu then mix this rava to

The uppuma looks yummy.. my mom makes masala upma with the cracked whole wheat. Along with all you ingredients, she also adds onions, cloves, cinnamons, tomatoes and bay leaves. Everyone loves it.
